Design Strategy

MINIMAL DESIGN

  • Clean palette of espresso brown and white with accents of mustard yellow, ruse and/or orange.
  • Private dining room and entry have brown and white wide vertical stripes. Hand written signature recipe in white script on espresso wall in the Private Dining Room
  • Espresso brown leather Parsons chairs, rust leather bar stools
  • Faux White Marble Tables
  • Informal seating, varying styles of service–perch, lounge, dining
  • Tabletop reflects a refined rusticity, with artisanal expression in china, flatware, and serving vessels

MUSIC

  • Italian pop, standards and 60's film scores

THE BAR IS A STATEMENT IN KINETIC ENERGY

  • Begins as a barista experience in the morning–La Marzocco espresso equipment, cold drip coffee on tap, and cake stands full of pastries.
  • Liquor is all secured and not on display. In the afternoon and evening, an Enotech systems provides 8-12 wines by the glass with standard bar operation as outlined by the Hilton Beverage and  Bar program.

Lighting Elements

Light is the metaphor for the restaurant concept and ergo for the key element in design. Lighting fixtures and the general lighting design for the bar and restaurant create the sensual environment within which our guests are dining and enjoying independent zones.

The beautifully illuminated dining room is chic, relaxed and fun. The espresso and white palette is sophisticated but becomes playful with accents of color. The Private Dining Room creates intimacy with a family recipe printed on the wall and menu items are available “family style.” The lighting articulates the core zone anchors for the space and creates distinct interactive spaces throughout the dining room:

Art Elements

A major expression of the spirit of La Luce, Art reflects the seasons, the care for the land and the notion of celebration. The art at La Luce, Hilton Orlando Bonnet creek is chalk art, produced by very talented local artists. If quality chalk artists are not available, the restaurant should partner with a local art gallery to create an ever-evolving series of local art, referencing the splendor of the Mediterranean.
